Biography

As a child, I became mesmerized by the prayer and song enthusiastically led by my dad. My love for Jewish camp-style music was born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, at URJ Eisner Camp when I was just 5. Over the years, I became passionate about playing guitar and was fortunate to learn from many of the incredible pioneers of Jewish rock camp songleading.

At the age of 15, I discovered my love for the electric guitar. Within a year I was playing in a band that had a monthly gig at CBGB’s. I continued playing in rock, funk and metal bands through my high school and college years and well beyond.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend Berklee College of Music. It is there that I was able to get comfortable with every aspect of my guitar playing and reading music and working with all kinds of musicians. And of course meeting the love of my life and rhythm section, Kevin.

Right after college I worked at Warner Brothers Music in NYC but then realized that what i really wanted to do was to play music. It was then that I went back to my roots and got my first job at Temple Emanuel and Shaaray Tefilah in NYC.

I am so lucky I get to play my guitar every day and do what I love!!!!!!

I am currently working leading music at Community Synagogue Of Port Washington in the Religious school and Nursery school, Temple Chaverim in the Religious School. In the nursery school at South Huntington Jewish Center. My summers are filled with singing at the MIYJCC camp.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
